The categories
- Best Pumpkin Patch: Pumpkin patches and corn mazes.
- Best for Little Goblins: Not-scary picks for the youngest trick-or-treaters.
- Boo's Hidden Gem: Only small, local events can win this one: no theme parks, zoos, chains or tour companies.
- Most Fun Overall: Anything goes: every event in the guide.
- Most Likely to Make You Scream: Haunted houses and the scariest nights out.
How voting works
- Sign in with your email (we send a one-tap link; no password).
- One vote per category per day, in as many cities as you like. Come back daily!
- Every nominee is confirmed for this Halloween on its own official site.
- A category needs at least 25 different voters in a city to name a winner. Winners are "voted by BooMap fans".
- We check for cheating (bursts of votes, throwaway accounts) before naming winners.
